Dawn has mainly worked in electronics and retailing all in the Bognor and Littlehampton areas. She has been an active member of the Neighbourhood Development Plan group and Ford Community Land Trust since the beginning. In the past Dawn has been a carer and knows how hard it is to support the less able. She is passionate about the environment and animal welfare, she enjoys country walks around the local area.
The skills I hopefully bring to the board are as a retired headteacher are awareness, open-mindedness, a desire for appropriate improvement. I want to stand up for and see the best possible environment for children and young people to grow up in. Change is inevitable so after living in Ford for 32 years I want to ensure that future generations who have strong links to this area have the opportunity to continue living here should they so wish. Make use of what we already have, protecting the good things but being open to new ideas is essential because it is the future that we need to plan for whilst supporting what is in the locality already.
I have lived in Arun for the last 21 years with my wife and 4 children.

I have fitted kitchens, bathrooms installed windows and been self-employed designing ponds and water features and installing them. I've built my own car. I am now retired. The skills I bring to the board are administrative. I have worked with the Parish for the past 8 years to bring the Neighbourhood Plan to fruition. I am able to use my I.T. and admin skills to support the board but I am also passionate about seeing the aspirations of the Parish outworked through the Plan process and through the CLT.
