Autumn 2025 - update from Vistry

Earlier this month, we were delighted to finally be able to open the new temporary footpaths across the northern parcel of the site.

These footpaths are shown on the map which can be viewed by following the link here as 366, 363 and 200.

All of these footpaths will now remain open along their current routes. Temporary closures may be needed at times to allow work to progress safely, but we’ll keep disruption to a minimum.

We appreciate how long these paths have been inaccessible and the community’s patience while you’ve waited for them to re-open.

The remaining footpath running through the south of the site – Route 175 will remain closed due to archaeological work on both sides of the path.

A temporary diversion is being provided, shown on the attached plan, allowing access to Ford Airfield Market and a link back to the main path.

To ensure public safety while works continue, we are planning to provide a temporary diversion for PROW 175. This will involve installing a new fence line along the field (shown on the map which can be viewed by following the link here). We are currently out to tender for these works, and once a contractor is appointed, we anticipate the installation will take approximately eight weeks.

Based on this timeline, we expect the southern diversion route to be open in Q1 2026. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to deliver a safe and accessible solution.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep everyone safe while maintaining access wherever possible.
